Types of tests for reliability, safety, resource

Mechanical Testing
Testing for vibration resistance and vibration resistance, including during transportation, is carried out to test the ability of products to withstand the damaging effects of vibration, perform their functions and keep their parameters within the specified limits. Tests provide confidence in reliable operation of the product.

Mechanical Strength Testing
The design of the base and its connection to the lamp bulb must be such as to provide a strong mount during normal operation.

The device for controlling the fixing strength of the base to the flask, developed and certified by the institute's specialists, is designed to create a smoothly increasing twisting moment on the lamp base from 0.5 to 20 N * m, with a permissible error of 10%.

Interchangeability lamp tests
Interchangeability of lamps should be ensured by using standard caps according to IEC 60061-1. Compliance is checked using IEC 60061-3 gauges to verify dimensions that provide interchangeability.

Control of protection of lamps from accidental contact
The dimensions of the lamps with a threaded base should be such that they are safe from accidental contact with the relevant parts. Compliance is checked in accordance with IEC 60061-3.

Tests for specially induced failure
The safety rating of general-purpose incandescent bulbs at the end of the burning duration is checked by testing for a specially induced failure by applying a short high voltage pulse to the lamp with a peak value of up to 3 kV. Used installation for testing SVO-3000. When tested, the failure of the lamp should not be accompanied by either the destruction of the bulb or its separation from the base.

Check for heat resistance, fire resistance and abnormal conditions
Lighting products must have sufficient heat resistance.

The outer parts of the insulating material, which provide protection against electric shock, and the parts made of insulating material that support the conductive parts, must be heat resistant.

Compliance is checked by pressing a ball into the parts with the help of a special device. The test surface is located in a horizontal position, and a steel ball with a diameter of 5 mm presses against this surface with a force of 20 N. The test is carried out in a heat chamber at a certain temperature. After 1h the ball is removed and the diameter of the recess is measured.

The test sample for testing for heat resistance and fire resistance in a special installation according to IEC 60965-2-1 / 1 is exposed to the tip of a hot wire with a temperature of up to 650 ° C.

Testing with a needle flame is also carried out on a special installation according to IEC 60695-2-2, applying a needle flame to the sample for a certain time.

The safety of lighting products should not be reduced when operating in the conditions of faults (abnormal conditions) that may occur when used as intended. Each of these faults is applied in turn, as well as any others that are associated with it and may arise as a consequence of the previous one. The sample is tested on a specially designed stand.

Tests on the resource to failure
Tests for life and life to failure, and the same for the number of switching cycles of lamps carried out on the stands, designed, manufactured and certified by the specialists of the enterprise.

Test benches for all lamp groups for burning duration include:

incandescent lamps for general and special purposes with various types of bases;
